ABOUT ME

My name is Bridgette Hogan. I am a special effect makeup artist that specializes in prosthetic builds and applications. My skills also consist of prop building, mold making, puppetry and beauty, straight, and editorial makeup. I am a graduate of Sheridan college's Makeup for Media and Creative Arts program (2020) and their Advanced Special Effects Makeup Prosthetics and Props program (2021).

My journey began when I was a young teenage girl who fell in love with cosmetics and would use it as a way to escape the troubling world of high school. I would stay up all night in my bathroom experimenting with different products and trying different looks. Around Halloween is when I discovered the world of SFX and I begged my parents to buy me a bottle of liquid latex. When I got them to cave in and get it for me, I used it along with masking tape and toilet paper to create my first effect. After that I knew makeup and special effects is what I wanted to do with my life.
